Chill Hop: Something For Writing and Working

I've been listening to so much Chill Hop. For probably the past 2 years, the "Racoon in Bed" or "Girl Studying" have been my go to background music.

I write a lot for work, and need some music to just blend in to the background. I can't listen to rap for this; the lyrics are too much to try to pay attention to while writing. I just want those beats, but down tempo, chilled out. So I find myself always going back to these streams. Constant. Basically all day every day at work. It's perfect background noise; breaking the silence but not something I need to focus on.

I couldn't name any of these artists or songs. It all sounds the same to me. I don't even know when they're repeating the same song I've heard so many times before. It's an odd way of listening to music - no notion or artist, song title, or album. Just smooth, continuously flowing beats. I really just know it as a genre.

So thank you, ChillHop Music on YouTube - you've made me extra productive in my writing roles, and I appreciate the hours of free distraction you've provided.

Edit: I realized there is one song that I remember when it comes on - Rookie J'son "Pure Imagination". But this is only because it is an interpolation of the Charlie and the Chocolate factory song. I recognize that nostalgia for sure.
